I had the pleasure of being invited, along with a select group of individuals, to photograph the Glenstone galleries for their fall "Instameet."
Attendees were selected based on their answer to the following question:
“which artists in Glenstone’s collection have challenged the way you think about art?”
“On Kawara’s ‘Moonlanding’ series has challenged the way I think of art. One; at first glance, the series had me challenge the significance of ‘font.’ At one point there has been a font that everyone in their daily life has stopped; and read, to realize something is happening past their subjective point of view and what that experience could be. To see it on canvas makes your subconscious realize that there is a space and time for those emotions to be placed.”
Upon my first visit at the Glenstone, prior to the fall #Instameet, I was made aware that indoor photography was not allowed.
Immediately there was a sense of anxiety that happened. Not being able to document my visit across social media platforms was an unwelcome concept.
As they say, “if it’s not on Instagram; it didn’t happen.”
After finally giving up on my vice to stay connected, I felt myself gradually relaxing.
I began to be present in the moment.
Immersed in the fusion of architecture, art, and nature.
